u can...mine is bypassed and connected to my flipdown...i can play whats on my head unit on the flip down and i can play what on the flip donw on my head unit...

Pioneer AVIC-Z series head unit with factory flip down. Most name brand head units have a "rear video" control option so you don't have to necessarily bypass the parking brake.
