does anyone know if there is a way to hook up to the radio harness an external auxilliary port for a satellite radio?

Talk to the guys at the Sirius Store. They have every adapter, tuner and accessory you can imagine.

If your radio isn't Sirius ready, they will most likely sell you an RF adapter that plugs in to the antenna jack on the back of the head unit.

It is a sirius radio. i've asked about some type of an adapter but they don't have one. I think the only way is to find one with a harness for a stock sterio or solder one on..

You can't just tap in to the harness. There would be no way to select the new input since there's no "aux" button on the stereo.

Why not just use the fm transmitter in the sirius radio?

I travel between 2 different counties everyday for work and I have to keep changing the frequencies. The clarity is not that great even with the fm extender antennae.

Do you ever listen to regular radio? If not then just disconnect the antenna from the back of the head unit. My brother had to do that on his SportTrac and now he has no interference issues.

There HAS to be at least one channel that isn't being used in your area, it just may take some time to find it.

If you're not happy with your Sirius radio, just call them and say that you're going to cancel because your radio sucks and they will offer you a free one.
