Interchangable Engines With a 99 4.6 Windsor

I have a 99 expedition with a 4.6 Windsor that is no longer good. What other engines will work in my Expo? I dont care if i have to change over the intake, manifold, heads, whatever? Just neeed to find an engine that will work in it. Finding another 99 4.6 windsor from a expo or f-150 is expsensive. I have heard that a 99 or 00 mustang GT 4.6 windsor with a VIN X will work, anyone know?

Any 4.6 will work, people just prefer to have the Windsor because it is alittle beffier.

I would stick with a 2v 4.6 windsor preferably a PI improved version
