interior and stepping board lights keeps turning on

interior and stepping board lights keeps turning on after i turn off the engine and lock all my doors. My old battery was drained because of this and i'm afraid my new batt will too if this problem cant be solved.

Sounds like a door contact to me. The truck thinks the door is open so let there be light.

yeah thats what i thought to but its not constanly open, its opens for a few sec then turns off for a few sec then on... damnit its ******* me off man.

Spray WD-40 into the door latches. See if that helps.

i have the same problem some times too. its my passenger door. or so thats where it happens the most. sometimes when im parked or when i let a friend leave. but when im driving its annoying cause the interior lights r on for a little bit then they turn off then the dash says door ajar and the locks wont auto lock. then after 5-10 mins the dash light turns off and the locks lock. wierd i know. im used to it but i see it a problem still. any suggestions? where is that little button u can press like the older cars used to have?

LOL..yeah am also tryin to find that button man...

It's behind the door latch. Sometimes, they "stick", which is why you spray them down with WD-40 (I've also heard brake cleaner, though I'd try not to get that on the paint) to unstick it.
