interior lights

On my 2000 Expo which was a police vehicle...the interior light do not come on when the doors or rear gate are opened, however they do come on when the rear hatch window is opened....I would like these to come on for all the doors....any wizardly ideas here???

Good question bc I know this is a security measure as my police cars lights dont come on either.

as my past experience in law enforcement...you don't want them coming on when your sneakin up on a couple screwin in the back seat...LOL...however mine does NOT have a chipped key or a factory remote....But being retired.....I would like them to work now..

Check to see if the contact switch in the door is connected I had a ranger that the dome light would stay on so I unplugged that and it would only come on when I hit the switch on the dash. Maybe worth a shot

The Crown Vic police vehicles have a single wire connector under the dash on the passenger side that enables "dark-car-mode". I forget which way is which, you unplug it to keep the interior lights off with open doors, or the other way around. Poke around under the dash for a connector that might be apart, again its single wire.

need lights like those

Id like to mount lights like yours in the stock grill or a billet grill . hella has one for 500.00 ouch , any other ideas?
