First let me say hello, I am new to this forum and it is my first time posting. I have a 1998 Ford Expedition with a 5.4. It has an intermittent knock, but it will go away as I drive down the road a little ways. I have checked my EGR valve and it works and is free from any blockage.
I have also replaced my pressure feedback sensor (motorcraft) and made sure the lines are free of any sludge. Is there something I should check/clean? I have read about cleaning the TB but this seems to be more for idle problems. Mine idles just fine.
Could it be a bad knock sensor? Will a bad knock sensor throw a DTC code? The only DTC I am getting is the P0401.
