For both the Expy and Gator sucks right now, at least locally.

Three weeks ago, dealers had multiple of each. Now I can't find anything at all. It's strange to me because you think Ford and Lincoln would be pumping these out left and right.

Others experiencing the same thing in their markets?

Yes, our dealer finally called to say they just got one in and we could come test drive it. It was sold within ONE hour. Kind of annoying that they couldn't hold it long enough to let us test drive it so we could have ordered one if we liked it. They're missing out on sales by not keeping one on the lot.

Between the limited availability of the Expedition and the concerns we have with the Nissan Armada (the some on this forum pointed out to us), which we were also considering, we're probably going to hold off for another year. They also aren't really offering any incentives on the Expedition, maybe that will be better next year.

What makes you think they're not pumping them out left and right to fill orders? When we were looking for something to test drive, Ford's inventory website showed MidKidd's truck as "dealer ordered" and then showed it as in the dealer's inventory (while it was in transit). Obviously, it was never really in inventory. And since my order was submitted as a dealer order, I expect it'll show up on Ford's website as a "dealer ordered", but no, you won't actually be able test drive it or buy it when it finally arrives at the dealer. And the orders submitted as customer orders rather than dealer orders never show up on Ford's inventory website.

Well, that, and apparently, they've sent them all to Texas. Do an inventory search for 78681...

i have only seen 2 at dealerships! he said the day they get one, they are gone in hours or the next day. one of the trucks we saw was a managers/owners platinum parked behind the dealership, were no one could see it!!! no other expedition in site. I was thinking, why not have that truck parked front and center even if it is the managers? at least let people see it. we would have never known if i had not decided to pull back there. we specifically look for one everytime we drive by.

Was at my dealer yesterday for my 30K service and they had two XLTs, both very plain MAX models. One black, one white. Nothing I have seen online (30 mile radius) in inventory has the HD tow package either.

I agree with the inventory all coming here to Texas, or at least the impression that such is the case. AutoTrader tells me there are 112 2018's for sale within 25 miles of my house...and that's on the lot, not ordered. 91 SWB and 21 Max's. 13 of the 112 have 4wd. And it looks like about 90 of them have the HD tow package (although that's based on AutoTrader's keyword search so take that with a grain of salt.)

It's 8 Platinums, 27 Limiteds, and 77 XLTs.
