Ok today after reading threads about exhaust I went to get my muffler cut off and a pipe welded in its place. Listen this is by far the best sound ive heard from a expedition. It rumbles throughout the whole rpm range. If anyone ask me bout what exhaust to get I will tell them if they want that rumble go with no muffler on the second gens

From what ive been told in newyork as long as it has the cats and it passes emissions. Lol a cop pulled me over and I quote: what the **** do you have for an exhaust system cause I had my decimal reader out and you were within in the limit. So I ask him why did he pull me over he then says I wanted to know what exhaust it was cause it sounds mean as hell

i have a glass pack on mine and it is down right nasty! i always get compliments on how she sounds especially at idle.

Heres wat I found out yesterday. The police edition came wit two cats that are supposed to be high flow. B1ut when this one was sold they welded 2 resonators behind the cats. I always thought they came wit four cats

I live in communist california, where there is a law for everything, and nothing is legal...so it's probably not legal to have it this way. Ill find out next time I get a smog check in a few years. Im sure it'll pass emissions, just as long as the smog tech is willing to crawl under the vehicle to stick his probe in the pipe. I know some techs will, most wont tho.

Yes it is..love the way it sounds, and there isn't too much drone on the freeway either. I can actually hear my wife yelling at me to slow down when im driving too fast lol.
