i build intakes for a hobby. we have done dyno tests between the polymer intake tubes, aluminum intake tubes and steel intake tubes. the IAT temps were negligably different. no change in power.
now for another interesting one. open filters, vs conical filters in a box. no change in IAT's while driving or on dyno, no power difference.
yes in all testing there were control mediums in place. all had to be same diameter tubing, all had same filter, all had same length (within 3/4") and all testing were first done in a 959RWHP vette, then another set of testing done in my 1999 7.3 Powerstroke turbo diesel.
