keyless entry

The door keypad on my 99 expedition xlt does not light up. I have tried using the factory code to open the door but that doesn't work either Does anyone know how to troubleshoot it?

not how to trouble shoot it... but when mine didn't light up I changed the RAP module and it worked again... my RAP came from a 98 taurus..

Thanks, What's the location of the accessory power module? I can grab one from the junk yard and give it a try.

I checked the manual online ond don't see a RAP module listed but do see a Remote entry module and a accessory delay relay...I'll change both and see if that resolves the problem.

my RAP was under driver side dash of firewall... above were a clutch pedal would be... is tan and white with the 5 digit code for keyless entry.... held on by 2 nuts and 2 wire sets

I replaced the other relay and fuse yesterday without success, My unit is in the same location, that's where I got the factory code. I'll change it and let you know how I make out, thanks again.
