This is my 1st post, so forgive me if I could not find a previous thread regarding ladder options.

OK, Am I crazy..? I think that all those off-road Synchrony Vanagons and larger off road Chev/Ford vans have a great idea with the after market ladders that you see bolted to the side rear area.
Has anybody done this with the Expedition? For one, I can't hardly wash the roof, and for two.. I would love to better access a roof rack, etc.

    Thoughts..links?

I hear ya on the tire, but I am shallow, and caught up in stupid stuff I don't need, so I simply want one of those add-on ladders, because me thinks they look bad ass!

Probably have to go custom. Or get some kind of rack front Front Runner or Equipt1.

I just ordered a single step that goes in the tow hitch receiver. Not for reaching the roof per se but to help my vertically challenged wife climb into the back.

I made this modular step system so my 93 year old mother could get up into my Expy to transport her around. She thought it was cat's meow. We got a round of applause when we walked into the diner last fall after using it in front of the entrance. TFF

That is awesome, but I don't know if my wife should see that. She will want one....

EDIT: Showed her the picture. She says she isn't that short.
