I never said that. I said 'I think' and nothing about 'smoking' the tires. The Expedition is not a high performance sports car. The so-called electric locker is for 4wd, not the drag strip. Ford equips the Mustang with special race features. The rental video is called a brake press/neutral drop . Flooring the gas while holding the brakes, than slam into drive. The Expedition could never do that, by just hitting the gas alone. It looked like a 2014 in video to me, that would be the V8.

Nope...Wrong again.

See, you don't even know how to visually tell the newer ones apart, but yeah you know them better. That is a 15-17. 3rd Gen Body style with LED Fogs. Also has the huge low hanging muffler in the rear, tell tale of the EB powered 3rd Gen's. Even a thread on here with parts on how to remove and side exit behind the passenger rear wheel. Not to mention the headlights are different for the 15-17. Then later in the video when it burns out the 2nd time you can see the Chrome bar all the way across the rear...also a tell tale of the 15-17.BurnFront.JPG

You do not have to Neutral drop it to spin the wheels. On that slick concrete under that overhang it would EASILY spin with just brake and throttle. You realize the rear brakes generate less pressure right?

Please keep going...I was having a PIA day at work...this is making me smile.

Who gives a $hit. You guys are nothing but wannabes. You drive 'full size' SUVs designed to 'save gas' and TOW, not race. They weigh 5000lb+. Why the hell do a couple clowns keep insisting, they are high performance?

HAHAHA....Yep wannabes.... That is us.

Now he has mentioned a V8(Previous Post), and resorted to cussing. Circle complete. Mission accomplished!

Where did I say it was High Performance? Please show me. Quote/Screen Shot...show me.

It still Tows, transports the family, but can hustle when I want it to.

I have said their performance will surprise you for the size. Dude, please keep going...I needed the distraction.

For those of you just joining, here is the Score, and how each point was scored...:boxing::893karatesmiley-thu

@rjdelp7 - 0 @LokiWolf - 4

Point 1 - RJ thought the 4 Gen did not have limited Slip....It does.
Point 2 - RJ thought it could not spin the tire on dry pavement....It can.
Point 3 - RJ thinks a posi is a Locker....It isn't.
Point 4 - RJ thought the Expy in the Video was a 14 with a V8....it wasn't

I would like to thank @carymccarr for several assists! Especially the YouTube video...that was icing at its best!

Good Christ already... why are you such a gobshite? The weight of something does not dictate whether or not something is performance. Who in the hell made you the end-all be-all to item classification. The only clown on this forum is you.

It is obvious to me that you, are a horribly bitter person and the real "wannabe" here. You do not have half the knowledge you would have others believe. I do not know whether you are pathological and actually believe your own tripe or are just a simple troll. I have yet to come across any post by you where you are not contradicting somebody, insulting them or generally just being a tool. I would be willing to bet that you're full of Google experience and that you have very little heuristic knowledge in regards to what you speak. If you do you certainly do not convey it. Frankly, who the hell are you to tell anyone they shouldn't do anything unsolicited? Why shouldn't somebody race an Expedition if they want to? Why shouldn't somebody track an Expedition if they want to? Most importantly, why the hell are you so bothered by anyone doing anything with their property?

You have reached the height of being a total gowl saying that a full sized body on frame SUV is designed to save gas in support of your argument that it is not performance. That statement, using your own logic (if you can actually call what you spew logic) against you, is equally as converse as you claim performance is, to the design of the Expedition.

In reality, the Expedition is a performance vehicle and beyond that can damn sure be made high performance with modifications. To LokiWolf and others, et al, I think you guys should strive to get these machines to sub 5 second 0-60. Why? Just because you can and because it ****** people like rjdelp7 off so much so that they are compelled to come on forums to provide us comedic relief!

I've seen some pretty "good" arguments on forums in the past. Heck, I've even engaged in a few ...but this is probably one of the most pointless back-and-forth's I've encountered.

Yet here I am still, eating popcorn ...waiting for a meaningful ******.
:signs1:

So who's gonna post a video (of lighting-up the tires of their own $55K+ Expy)? :boxing::boxing::boxing:

I must be in a rather saucy mood today. Normally, I won't engage in pointless debates with anyone... other than my wife. If it wasn't so hot here in The Old Pueblo I might, just to spite myself, be the one!

I would so do it, but I wouldn’t prove anything, cause I am not Stock right now, and I would have to drive like 300 miles tonight to do it!

Come on! Somebody stock, DO IT! Don’t need to roast them, just a little spin.

Loki ...FWIW, I had to go pick-up my daughter from a friend's house (in a neighborhood just East of ours) about two weeks ago. As we were about to exit their neighborhood, I looked up-and-down this major, 6-lane surface street and there wasn't a soul. I said, "Shall we see what this thing can do?" ...she said, "Wha?!" Now granted I punched it at about a 45-degree angle to my new Westbound direction, and was going thru a concrete, drainage transition, but the rear tires lit'up and stayed that way for probably 20-30'. I had it a bit "sideways" for a moment ...but the traction control quickly righted the tank. And by the time I looked down to see how fast we were going, I was at 60mph (coulda been 6 seconds ...coulda been 10, IDK).

Anyway...that wasn't me even really trying (very hard). I'm sure what you're saying is true. This is after all a vehicle with 375+ HP and 470 ft.lb torque. To believe that it's not possible to light-up the tires on this bugger is just ignorance of physics.

I'd go grab a video, but I've got just 2K miles on my Expy, and once was enough for me to know the tank has the capability. Maybe someday (when I have thousands of dollars falling out of my pockets) I'll build-out a 12-second, 3.5L EB Expy.

I can get my 35x12.50’s to burn out on my Expy. But with the price of tires I wouldn’t want to do it a lot.

People race lawnmowers, semi trucks, scooters, Segways, support trucks, tricycle’s, you name it. I don’t give a flying function what anyone says. You can race, modify and customize almost anything if that’s your thing and no one should give 2 cents about it.

Let me add a bit of gas to the mod and race it fire...

Besides the 19 Expedition, I have a 17' F250 SCREW 4X4 PS that is fully modified and tuned. Why? Because someday I may want to tie a chain around the devils beanbag and drag him out of hell doing 90MPH! With HP, torque, guns, ammo and now frigging toilet paper, I look at this way... better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. I guess my "hick" is showing so better tuck that back in.

Would I tell everyone who owns one to do what I did? No. Would I fault or otherwise ridicule anyone for going beyond what I did? Hell no! Even if I disagreed with the idea of doing it I'd still support and be in awe that they went through the effort.

This forum has gone completely nuts. Polluted with delusional, 4th gen whack job, road heroes. Racing lawn mowers now? With the large amount of engine problems, you guys should be taking it easy. It seems those engines can't go past 10K without taking a $hit. Have fun in the service dept waiting room...

Well RJ ...I'm not sure I really have enough experience with my rig to speak definitively; however, I can certainly say that there is a dozen of you in EVERY forum I frequent. From Duramax forums, to Harley-Davidson Touring bike forums, to forums about Hondas, RVs or what oil to use ("Bob is the oil guy").

I'll give you this ... the 99-04, 4.6L and 5.4L 2V was probably the best engine that Ford ever made. I have seen some amazing builds (in multiple Ford platforms) ...and even though I grew-up a GM guy, I have a love for many Ford platforms / powerplants as I do Chevrolet's, GMC's & old Pontiac's.

What I don't understand is your insistence on maligning those that are finding ways to improve the latest gen Expy (and 3.5L EB). Admittedly, I only have 2K miles on my '19 ...but it has done nothing but impress me so far. Outside of pulling a 5th-wheel, in terms of overall capability, I love everything about this ride ...probably more than my Duramax (and "real trucks" are actually my favorite platform).

Why you got such a bug up the sphincter bud? ...cool off.

This 'video' has been debunked 6 months ago. The Expedition had thousand of dollars in intercooler and off road exhaust mods. There are running E85, which is not allowed, according to Ford. The Video caught the attention of Ford engineering. They claimed the Expedition, is already making 100% power. The engine has cam shafts for towing, not high end racing. There is no hidden reserve power. The Mustang GT and 4cyl Ecoboost out perform the Expedition.

Why so angry?

Also, why quote the word video as if it was not real? People do that as a sign of mocking something. Are you mocking me? Why? That is really weird. I posted a real video, not a pretend video.
