hi all i have been reading up on your threads about this common problem. We bought this vehicle from an older man who could no longer take care of it, needless to say the roof had rusted through. We had our repair guy weld it and then coat it with truck liner paint, i replaced the windshield, but my grab handles both still leak in the rain, im at a loss! I have heard of the 3rd brake light replacement but wondering if that could cause this leak, i do not haVe a sunroof. Please any and all suggestions welcome im at a loss

The handles are screwed to brackets that welded to the "A" pillar and are not exposed to any water from the outside. it has to becoming from the sun roof or windshield.

I had a SR on my '03 but I sealed it with special "tape" & like you, still had water pouring from the bottoms of the oh-sh*t handles.....I carefully removed the windshield trim and emptied 2 tubes of silicone at the top of each corner, then a tube for each side of the glass...reinstalled the trim...NO more leaks!

good luck!
