If I replace the interior light bulbs are there any undesirable side affects?
For instance, my 2005 Jeep GC ran enough current when the dome lights were OFF that the LEDs stayed lit.

Specifically:
- Do the lights turn off completely? No residual glow?
- Any dash lights or warning from the vehicle about lamps being out?

Bonus question: Any suggestion for lamp sources? Perhaps a kit?
thanks,
tomk

On my 2007 , the upgrade is great. There were no problems. I believe they all have resistors against flash.
The only difference is how the dim once the "time on" is over ( eg: opening in closing door ).
The ones I got dim in stages until off whereas an incandescent continuously dims.

If you get them on Amazon, most come in packs of 6-10 bulbs, so you will have spares to give away.

I have a 2008 and replaced all the interior lights and had no issues at all, they all go out when they should and the whiter light is much nicer inside than the yellowish light the original incandescent bulbs produced.
