The way fabtech made it sound I wont need to drop the brackets, only get a shock with a thicker shaft coming out the top for it to bolt up, but ill keep in mind dropping the brackets, because is doesn't look like it would be that big of a deal

if you dont have air shocks up front (as in you took them out) you need coil overs, you cant just swap in a shock that is long enough to fit... the torsion bars on our expys are not meant to handle the full load of the front end, they need the help of either air shocks or coil overs.
That is unless you swap out the original Tbars with some 7700 bars or standard expy bars.
If you get a coil spring conversion kit, get a spacer for the rear and have a kit with coilovers then you can crank up the torsion bars and with the spacer you'll have a 3" suspension lift, then add a 3" body lift and you'll be ridin high on 35s with no problems

So here's my plans then...
I'm going to find a set of torsion bars from another expy, throw some lift shocks on the front (advance can get some 4" lift shocks). and get some spacers for the rear coil overs (after I convert to them), here's my question though, will the rear coil spring spacers work with the rear air bag conversion kits?

I was thinking about picking up this kit:
http://www.performanceaccessories.c...D EXPEDITION 4WD&Active=Yes&Category=PLS Kits

it comes with torsion bar keys, body lift, gap gaurds, bumper brackets, steering extender and evtyhing else i would need

go to my albums, and read my signature and you'll find out
you dont "need" new torsion bars, I dont have them... you can buy monroe part #90010 and you can get it for about 200 bucks and it will save you a lot of hassle with finding Tbars and putting them in
