Locker in the front?

I was under the expy the other day and noticed the front diff had 8.8 casted into the front cover.

1. I did not know what size the front diff was, but now assume its a ford 8.8?

2. If it is, will a locker from a rear end 8.8 work in the front diff....?

Since you can only run a selectable locker, you only really have two choices. An arb air locker or an eaton e-locker.

You may also have to have new axle shafts made up (32 spline vs the stock 28 spline)

But is the front 8.8 the same as a rear 8.8....?

Ranger 8.8 are 28 spline.

I seen a pic of the front diff open, and it looks just like a rear 8.8.

Just wondering.

Believe me, if there was an affordable way to do this, I would have done it.

Custom set of leads, or maybe 3 -4 link.
