I have a 2010 expo and a 05 expo. The 10 has 3.31 gears and the 05 has 3.73 with LSD. Will the rear end bolt up?? And the front end. Mother Nature is taking the frame back on the 05. And the 05 way better in the snow and mud.

Couldn't you just swap out the rear gearing?

You can swap a 3.73 LSD into the 2010. Detroit Truetrac has a part.

I already own a second gen with it. If I don’t have to spend 800 on a new ring pinion and center section if I don’t have to.

What do you mean resetting up gears?
Installing gears involves setting the pinion depth, backlash, gear mesh, etc. It's all fiddly and involves installing/removing/installing multiple times until the mesh pattern is just right. Lots of time spent with the shop press and/or bearing puller.

@mbtech2003 if it helps any I had a local shop set up gears for my truck and the price was really reasonable. I pulled the assembly so they were working on a benchtop and it was just over $400 per differential, plus parts. Obviously it's cheaper and easier to swap over the entire assembly if it'll fit, which I unfortunately can't answer.

I've rebuilt the housing w/new races $ bearings but I discovered part located just behind the larger pinion bearing race I damaged it in order to the larger race, (it was the only way) I think this part has to do w/controlling oil flow to the rear pinion bearing. Even though it's pressed in the case like the races it's made of a cheaper metal pretty flimsy!
