I am looking for any good magazines with aftermarket stuff for our trucks, performance, drivability, looks, etc etc etc.

I have seen a Jegs catalog, but there is WAY more of everything else than there is for the 330 c.i. 5.4 triton engine or the 97-02 batch year Expedtions as a whole. I was just wondering if anyone knew of some good magazines to get

ones I have seen are Jegs, JC Whitney, and LMC, any others would be excellent.

use the magezines to find the online sources...or just search for expedition parts or whatever part your looking for and you're bound to find MANY sites.

or save your money on the mags and post on here what your looking for thats how i found out about lmcs expedition mag and tactical armour group etc. your not really gonna find much better info then right here. think about all the expys on the road then look at club members. most people dont care they just take there trucks stock. enthusiasts jump online and help others and gain knowledge for themselves and thats what fef.com is all about. make a post if you cant already find one and we can point you in the right direction we have some excellent moderators who never sleep. i know cause i get on here at some weird times myself and i see them online and everyone on here is willing to help. its kinda like an online family. we make fun of each other joke around and have a good time. for instance we all crack on panda just because its so easy and he has a great sense of humor. if we cant find it good luck. but if you do find something about a new company or a rare find post it. others members will appreciate. good luck and welcome to the site

well said.... however, that's assuming I already know what I'm looking for.

I enjoy finding things and adapting them to fit my application (for example I made a mount for a fishing pole out of an extra clothes hanger.)
I have a hardwired 110v outlet just in case.
I also am working on mounting a WIFI antenna to the roof rack, so I can integrate MORE TOYS!!

so I really have no clue what I want until I stumble across it.

like here's a cool thing I think would work really well.
if you have a head unit that has a USB port on it, you could buy an external computer hard drive (pennies per Gigabyte now) say 500Gb ($40 on tigerdirect, even cheaper elsewhere or used.) which will hold approx. 80,000-100,000 songs (not to mention if you have a cd/dvd/nav you could also run pics, and movies etc etc.)

so you take your hard drive and format it to FAT32 and load load load away.
plug that badboy into a AC/DC converter, (or the outlet in my case) plug into the USB and you should have a vast and never-ending supply of tunes.

now since H.D's are pretty sensitive it may not last forever. but with a little smart mounting you can greatly reduce the amount of road-shock it would see( like on a cusion in the armrest, or in the little map holder behind our seats.)

just an idea. I love to see and hear about mods that are user/need/job specific.
the reason is the WAY the integrate these items sparks ideas for other things. I love to see the things people use the center console for. or odd cubbies, things mounted to the roof liner, LED light integration for better appearance, upgrades, changes, and mods of any and all kind that could in anyway be adapted to work in/on my truck would peak my interest.

that's kind of how I am working mine, I keep a list.
I add and scratch off as I move through the list, when it gets sloppy or crowded I reorganize and make a new list.
the rest of my ideas consist of a grill with lights in (like the mustangs), headlights, bigger tires, brake upgrades, a place to mount my fishing pole on the roof liner, a lift, step hoops, painting the visible frame, upgrading the ext lights(but I don't know what I want yet. i.e. xenon etc.), adding a 110v outlet in the cockpit, extra lighting and stealth placement of switches and neat wiring (like using a barrier strip) just having fun and tinkering with my toy.
now that's just the stuff I have worked out as do-able in this truck, I have silly ideas like adding an ext. antenna and hooking up a wireless router for portable internet, but my phone is a mobile hotspot so I thought it would be neat to fab a holster in the bottom of the steering wheel (the space under the airbag, over the bottom of the wheel) and run the wiring through the wheel itself so it can dock AND charge off the vehicle/radio whichever is easiest. I just need a scrap wheel to practice with.
