I searched and I'm surprised that this isn't already covered, so I'll ask...

After about a month and a half of passively looking around for another car to replace my truck that got crushed by a tree in August, I stumbled across another Expy that seems to be a pretty good deal through CarMax. 2019 and very low mileage. XLT with HD Tow, no sunroof, but ACC (convenient), looks to be in decent shape. I'm having it transferred from Louisville, so I haven't seen it yet, but if it's as clean as it looks I'll probably go through with it.

My question is: has anybody have/had personal experience with MaxCare coverage vs. the Ford ESP? I've purchased MaxCare a few times before on used purchases, but never actually had to follow through with them so my experience is limited. Their reputation is otherwise supposed to be pretty good with bumper-bumper coverage. Otherwise my plan will be to go through Zeigler, Flood, etc. Pricing will also play as a factor. I'm looking at 5yr/75K miles Zeigler running costing about $2670, so I think that's a decent deal and on par with what I'll expect with MaxCare.

I had MaxCare on my Expedition. It paid for the head gasket that went out. I also used it for a repair on the Honda Odyssey I previously owned. Not saying it's the best value, but they've covered my repairs thus far. I'm not sure MaxCare uses the same warranty companies. My Expedition repair was Fidelity, but the one I have now for my wife's I-Pace is a different company and I don't' recall who fixed the Odyssey. You can get feedback on Reddit as well. Many users post their experience there.

Go with granger ford for the max care esp warranty. They are the best price (beat zeigler) and are phenomenal.
