Not sure WHERE the tpms is in an '09 SSV
Some sources claim it's something in the hub or some such thing...

Was also sorta-hoping it had a compatible F150 system of some kind. Guess it doesn't.
Oh well... no tpms for me, then.
Anyone KNOW-KNOW what tpms an '09 uses, anyway?

How does that work? Is it inside under the tire?
Hmm in that case I'll probably disable via forscan and then maybe get one of the wireless cap types that output to aftermarket head units

Yeah it's in the air pressure side, like strapped to the wheel.
Pretty sure the valve stem mounted ones can be made to work with the factory system as well. But again those are also mounted in the air pressure like inside the valve stem

I wish there were tires with that much tread on them around here for 35 each!! They get 40-45 for an old half bald one but they install for free.
I would buy them outright and install myself all day long at those prices.
Nah this wasn't from the "Workplace Safety" Amigos (not being racist, the tire shop was literally called Los Amigos)...the tires were off a craigslist ad.

The usual "bought first truck with sensible tires, soon decided to go offroading with the buddies bought A/T tires, got hooked on the 35" Mud Terrain look and ditched those, now rolling in brodozer on 35's and selling the rest" story.
Looked at both sets but the A/T's were about 50% worn so I went with these
Sure woulda been a lot easier if it was a one-stop deal, but alas, frugality requires some hustle
I've had two sets of Michelin tires on my old S10 Blazer.
They never wore out, they dry rotted so bad I had to replace them after 5 or 6 years.
I decided I'd just buy cheaper tires and replace them for wearing out vs. the dry rot cracking.
And every time we wash them we put the shiny tire spray/protectant on them.
Never had another brand crack/split like that. The Coopers on my truck went 7 or 8 years and wore out vs. dry rotting. The tires on the Coupe are worn out after 30,000 to 35,000 miles but the ultra high performance summer tires don't have much tread on them when new.
