Might buy this ....???

So this is the excursion i am looking at maybe buying... its a 2000 with 179,000 miles... V10 .. Its very clean , no issues that i can see... They are asking $5990 but will take $5500 .... Think this is a good deal... Selling my expedition to get this... Ideas/Thoughts

check the ball joints/front end parts, check to see if the manifold studs are broke, brakes sway bar end links..ect check the transmission over well i hope its been replaced by this point(miles)

take it on a extended test drive if possible, i would personally look for lower miles but it does look very clean!

it looks like a very clean late 2000.

ok ty... going over in a couple days to look over it more in detail... motor looked and sounded clean....but will def check out all those things... finding an excursion is like finding a needle in a hay stack im finding out... but if im getting rid of my expy i wont settle....

Not a bad price and clean. Ive been looking for a 7.3l 4x4 excursion. Unfortunately they cost more than I want to spend lol

there are alot of nice V10s with around 100-120k miles for $8-10k around me. the diesels are just outrageous.

There are a few here but the bodys are a little beat up and stuff...i dont mind a little more mileage as long as everything else is clean and this one looks brand new so now i need to make sure there are no engine problems...

When i bought my expy it was a little more mileage but the cleanest one ive seen in town and is fully loaded... so yea im very very picky

the V10 is very reliable, make sure it runs smooth, clean oil and full and no exhaust leaks and you should be good. transmission would be more worrisome.

i've had 3 V10 excursions (00,04 and my current 02) they are amazing beasts!!
