Got them hooked up today...what a job...what was I thinking?????? drivers side was a B&%ch with the E brake in the way...so I got them all hooked up and tested them and everything works great...till I went to pull it out of the shop....and when I hit the brake pedal both arrow lights, light up...I used a test light and checked my wires...so I'm done for tonight...ALSO....I got the mysterious inop dome light issue solved and saved my self 75.00 trip to the dealer.....while I had the door panels off I was looking around and found that someone snipped the ground wire in the door harness...hooked it back together and WA-LAA got courtesy lights...got a couple of shots of the new window tint as well....also put a new radio antenna on The Shark...powered amplified....works great.

Talls, they have thin 2 sided tape and stick to the mirror...then had to rap the wires inside and feed them through...was eaiser just to remove the mirrors and do that on a the bench...I placed the Baker Edition logos in a few other spots...I had a guy ask me one day if the truck was specially built for me...and I said SURE.....made me feel like a big shot for 30 seconds...LMAO...

Doing this mod the "Thermo Way", I would have simply ran a strip of LEDs along the gap between the mirror and the outside edge of the mirror housing. Sure, a little more work, but it would have looked a little bit cleaner, especially if you would have coated 5 of the 6 sides of the LEDs in black paint. That would have caused the LEDs to blend in with the black plastic of the mirror. But, too late now.

On a side note, it is funny seeing the door panels with the all vinyl. Mine, I have cloth tops on the doors. Makes for a much nicer ride if you rest your arm on that part of the door (like I do).

Thermo, got any tips on the wiring problem? they blink left and right fine, but when I hit the brakes they both light up....I used a test light to find the wires in the kick panels????

Baker, I take it you tapped into the orange/light blue and the light green/orange wires at the base of the steering wheel. You need to move those wires over to the light green/white (left/driver's side) and to the white/light blue (right/passenger side). This will fix your issue. Pleases keep in mind that you will have the new lights flashing opposite the rear lights. Of note, if you look at the plug for the mirrors, these wires should already be at the plug for the mirrors. So, tapping into them should make life much easier.
