My 07 started getting a bit noisy this spring and I hopped under to see muffler rot on the weld and exhaust was leaking out. I replaced the muffler with a Walker QuietFlow Stainless Steel muffler. What I did was cut the pipe roughly 5.5” away from the muffler on the back and did the same to the new muffler. I used a 2 3/4” coupler and clamps to conjoin the muffler to the tailpipe. On the front end be sure to buy a new exhaust gasket and I used 3” stainless steel bolts with stainless steel nuts with lock washers attached. It is held up by rubber mounts coming off the chassis, i cut the metal on the muffler portion and slid it right out of the mounts. Take the rubber mounts right off on the front and put them on the muffler first, the rear can stay on the truck though you just have to work it in. Wasn’t a difficult job by any stretch. Posted this in gixers thread but thought I’d post here I’m case it helps anyone. Sounds decent, better than stock.

Looks awesome. I bet it sounds even better too. Nice work man! :favorites37:

On a side note, I also like how you conjoined the muffler to the tailpipe instead of just a normal join. The con really tricks it into fitting better. ;):D:p :banana-mario:

Anyone else used this muffler? Does it have a little better sound than stock? OP have a video by any chance?

My stock system has a slight, annoying resonance right at 1800 RPM or so that I don't like. I don't want a performance muffler thats louder, but i'd like something that sounds better than what i've got.
