Multiple System Failure Messages

I have a slew of warning messages about system failures in my message center. After finishing the some rework to my aftermarket radio harness, the vehicle was fine. Then I started on the next project, replacing instrument cluster bulbs with LEDs. I unplugged the two electrical connectors and unhooked the gear selector, pulled the cluster out and got to work. Replaced the bulbs, plugged the cluster back in to test the lights and the messages started coming in. Radio won't turn on, power windows were non-op but the AC worked. That's really all I noticed but could be more.
Actions I tried to correct:
1. turned car off and back on: Didn't work
2. Unhooked battery: Didn't work

So here are some ideas of where I may have screwed up:
1. Working on the radio and instrument cluster, I did not unhook the battery.
2. While unplugging the electrical connectors, I had turned the car off a few minutes prior and the radio was still playing (I hadn't opened the door yet) and as I unplugged the first connector the radio shut off. Could have just been the 5 minutes or whatever time elapsed that keeps the radio on.
3. I used a wire tap to connect to the #18 wire on the C240a for the steering wheel control kit and maybe it is now broken.


Any bright ideas?

Do you have a multimeter or test light & can you read wiring diagrams?

I have as multimeter, I'm not strong in wiring diagram reading but I can try

Figured it out....truck does NOT like the LED bulbs. Put the halogens back in and all is fine. Maybe tomorrow I'll see if a few LEDs will keep the warning messages at bay.

The second set I bought worked. They even worked in my visor vanity mirrors.

Also, I bought some spare bulb holders because one of the originals was acting flaky. I only needed one and they were a little tough to get set and twist into position.
