My first 10R80 glitch.

They’ve been learning transmissions since 2007 on the expy with the intro of the 6 speed if I’m not mistaken. 6R80 has been a solid trans. Problem is they are cramming too many gears into the same space and parts are getting thinner and smaller.

This! Chrysler has the 68rfe behind all the diesels and it' a 6spd that started it' life as the 45rfe and 54rfe which were 5spds that were behind mini vans and 1500s. The 68rfe just had an extra clutch pack shoved in it and called a 6spd.

From the tuners I've talked with, the learning is 250 miles following flash on average

That may be, but relearning from a baseline after a reflash is like Windows when it gets balky and patching it just doesn't do it any more and you just have to start over.

Dealer reflashed our transmission before I got software from 5 star
Have 5 star recalibration in our EXPY for about 1500 miles now
Recalibration really made trans behave much better
