well the roof rack is all welded up now. there is about 68 joints. just need to clean it up and paint it with bed liner. total size is 72"L x 45" W x 6" H. its a monster. lol. got about $70 in material and 15hrs in it. could have shortened the time but only worked on it a couple hours at a time and included set up and clean up each time. im super stoked on it and will post pics tomorrow.

Awesome! I bet it'll look great! Its too bad I'm not crafty like that. I'd be able to save a whole lot on a roof basket like you are.

thanx, it actually came out better than i thought it would.. lol.. i just bought some platinum burner 5.5" offroad lights from the clearance rack at wally world for $20 and already dipped the rock guards black.

thought about going LED but i cant justify the price for them and have mixed reviews like some are super bright and some not so much. but read nothing but good stuff about the wally specials.

Nice! When I finally find a basket that is big enough and not crazy over priced I'll have to pick some of those up! That is quite a good price for that size and I hadn't realized Walmart carries stuff like that. Also led bars are quite expensive, and I don't really care for the look of them.

That basket looks terrific! And you can turn off the traction control. Just hold down the Traction Control button for 5 seconds and the emblem on the dash should blink a couple of time indicating that all systems are off.
