I am trying to get a visual of what I will need to to build my custom cold air intake. Can you please post pics of your. 3v 5.4's with aftermarket intakes please? Thanks, Gregg

It's simply a tube with a slot for the sensor, a bracket to support it, silicone sleeves and the filter. The heat shield replaces the top of the stock air box.

wow yours is a lot different then mine is. mine has a box that sits on top of the actual intake plenum with another filter in it.

The design has changed dramatically. I put a K&N on my 05 SuperCrew and remembering that install process, you have to take the throttle body off and secure it to a supplied 45 degree angled piece supplied with the kit. Once done it will look like pictured, just a little PITA with that design. Getting the angle with the throttle body will be the hardest part of a custom install. Sorry, don't have the SuperCrew anymore so I can't give you a photo.

I am not worried about angles as i can make up for that with the mandrel bent tubing to keep the airflow as unrestricted as possible. guess i will take that whole big box filter area off today and see what it looks like.

Bump TTT! I need someone that has an aftermarket/ performance intake to tell me what size tubing is on theirs. I am thinking it is 4" but not sure...
