need advice on lowering

I don't want much just 2"/3" drop or even a 1"/2" drop if they make them. adding 24s with 305/35/r24 tires. Any asdvice?

With that wheel/tire combo I am not sure if you can drop it any. I have been told that in a 22" the biggest tire I can run on my '02 EB 2wd with out rubbing is a 305/40r22.

I would check with a reputable tire shop like america's/discount tire or big - o any large tire shop will let you know what the largest wheel/tire combo you can go with out modifications.

Is this for a first gen like listed in your profile or a second gen?

i know a couple of dudes running 24's with no problems...no lift...im running 24's but have an 04...i can only do a 2" drop with my air suspension...if i go any lower i'll have probs when the suspension drops...but check out Eibach...roughly 2 inches...

I went to your profile and saw you have a 99 EB. Is it 4WD? Does it have air ride? If it is just a straight up 4WD, then you can do what I did and that was to use some Bell Tech Torsion keys up front and I used 4" rear springs for a 2wd truck. You will have to do some cutting of the bump stops and even the brackets that are welded to the frame. I'll be finishing up my install soon and I'll have photos of what I have to do then.

Thanks for all the info...my expy is a 2wd and has springs all the way around, no air ride. I've checked with a few of the local shops and they say that 24s will fit with no problems. Maybe I should just level it off? I don't know.

Its pretty easy to lower a 2wd but the lower you go the lest room your going to have up front with 24's especially if you use the standard 305/35's as they are taller then the stock diameter tire.

i have a 98 2wd and im lowered 6 inches i ran 22s for a long time till i made it a work truck then i sold them i dont remember what size the tires were but they did rub from time to time but they worked very well

when you find out...let me know...that would definitely help me out since we're running the same wheels...i measured 3" gap between tire and outer fender on the rear when sitting w/no air...havent measured with air...but i'd like to drop it too...

I had 23" Fosse Rims on my 99 EB with air (now springs). It would rub if I hit a bump just right.
