I just bought a 2008 expedition Eddie Bauer and noticed one of the parking lights and side marker do not work so went to change out the bulb and found a big mess of wiring. Pretty sure the headlight assemblies are from a newer model they are projector style. Stay with me.... The wiring looks really bad and both sides are not the same see pictures. The driver side bottom light/blinker/parking light (3157 bulb) only works with the blinker and the side marker light does not work. Drivers side low beam works but turns off with the high beams and the passenger side low beam stays on with the high beam (not sure which side is correct). Another issue is that the low beams are pointing way too far down and out driving them by 30 mph. Am I better off finding replacements from 2008 or how can I fix this??IMG_20210630_231942364.jpgDriver sideIMG_20210630_232021647.jpgdriver sideIMG_20210630_232059401.jpgpassenger sideIMG_20210630_232155145.jpgpassenger sideIMG_20210630_232224378.jpg

Not good, welcome to site. Me I would hit the boneyard. Both of my third gen trucks headlights are good.

Those are aftermarket. I would rewire them from scratch. There should be an adjustment point to aim them.

Yeah those are just aftermarket projector headlight assemblies someone rigged in there. The '08s didn't come with projector headlights. It's always terrible to find installation jobs like that. Some previous owner with no clue of what he was doing. Are there HID or LED bulbs in the projector sockets ? It's fixable but it takes a good multimeter and patience. The payoff in the end might be worth it, but man, what a mess. I can't tell from the pictures, but is there an amber reflector on the outside corners, per DOT specs ?

I'm probably better off getting factory ones from the junkyard I guess. Found another wire that broke from the connector and there's a lot of corrosion in there.
Are you asking if there's just a reflector or actual bulb on the side? There's a bulb in it
