need help with a starting issue

hello, i have a 98 xlt and it will not start. any help would be greatly appreciated. when i turn the ignition, it just "clicks". i have tested the battery, and it seems ok. i have also changed out the battery connectors because they had corrosion on them. if i connect cables to the battery, it starts, but will not start on battery alone. thought it may be the starter but it starts with cables... please help

it's the battery....replace it. It has a bad cell and will only start w/addt'l power is added.

yup time to get a new battery. I recommend the optima yellowtop if you use your accessories while the engine is off.
