New to the forum today. Years ago I had a first generation expedition and for the last 2 years I have looking for an old jeep to restore without any luck. Yesterday I ran across an add for a 99 expedition and started thinking about how much I loved my old expedition and said crap why not rebuild something I know I love. Question is it's a 99 FX4 edition. I didnt recall seeing another first edition like this. Is there anything mechanically different with these? Thanks

There were, to my knowledge, no FX4 editions.

I have seen people add the FX4 decals - which look cool.

The FX4 versions came out with the redesign in 2003. Prior to that it was just simply 4x4 models with or without air springs
