Hey everyone. Great site here - learned a lot in just the few threads that I've read.

I have a 2000 5.4l 2wd XLT with 280,000 on it. I picked it up at a state auction - former state patrol inspection vehicle - 4+yrs ago for $3300 @144,000 miles. Def. got the money's worth and then some.

Issues - had to replace GEM, alternator, 3 coil packs (dealership did one - then I learned!). Now dealing with P0174 - cleaned the MAF, replaced air filter. Now I think I see/feel where issue might be... connection joint between exhaust manifold and pipe going back toward converter, right in front of a sensor (OxySensor?)

Hope to keep her at least another year.

Sounds like the classic PCV hose issue
