Hello everyone.

I'm thinking about buying an Expedition and have found a '15 with 77k miles. What issues do they have? How many miles can I expect from one? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello and welcome. Overall they are good reliable vehicles. Common issues include vacuum hub failure, blend door actuators (HVAC), and well that’s all that comes to mind off the top of my head. Just be sure it’s in good shape before you buy.

Other things to look out for.

Paint can be peeling or bubbling on the Aluminum surfaces (Hood & Liftgate)
The 3.5L Ecoboost engines can foul the intake valves, a simple catch can installed helps that issue.

A few on here had piston skirt knock issues, a problem actually recognized by Ford as a common enough issue. In the long run, turbo charged engines will also wear out faster than the naturally-aspirated V8.

Finally, a few members here had water pump failure at fairly low mileage.

I wouldn’t shy away because of the rare issues. Any brand has them. As long as the engine sounds ok with no knocks or odd noises you should be good to go.
