new to expedition

hey! jerrod, from indiana. Just had a new baby #4. I for sure had to get rid of my love... Suby Impreza, for another vehicle. Now we own a 98 navi and a 2005 eddie bauer expedition. Same frame, same motor. both running smooth for now. 151k on the navi. 87k on the eddie.
looking forward to asking you guys how to fix shit on my trucks when I have problems that I dont want to pay a mechanic thousands of dollars to fix!
I am not a mechanic, but when i can save hundreds of dollars.... yep, professional mechanic right here

someone said it is the mustang cobra motor. I thought the motors were the same? the exped 5.4 and the nav 5.4 are different?

98 navigator had the 2v motor same as the expy. Sometime in 99 they introduced the 4v dohc 5.4 in the navigators.

The 99 and later up to when they introduced the 3v motor I believe the navigators had a DOHC 4v 5.4 motor. Early cobras had a DOHC 4v 4.6 motor. Only real similarity between cobras and navigators was both had DOHC 4v heads.
