Hey everyone! I currently have a 2007 explorer, I'm looking to upgrade to a 2017 expedition. I have a couple questions about how it does in sand. Is there anything I should be looking for when I go to the dealer?

Think of it as an F150 with a roof, slightly heavier but better weight distribution

You'll want 4x4 and aired down LT AT tires for sand

I have a 17 and love it. I just went to the Outer Banks this weekend and did a lot of beach driving. Even with the POS factory tires I didn't run into any problems. I had them aired down to 20 lbs. Probably would have been better if I dropped them down more, but I was fine.

So I ended up going with a 2012 limited. It has a lot more options that I wanted plus all of the service records which were done at a dealer. I'm loving it so far but there are a couple things that I need to do with it
