Does your SUV have the original driveshaft? Does the front yoke fit your new trans? You could always get the 5.4 driveshaft, and swap out the front yoke and u joint. Is the rear u joint and the rest of the 5.4 shaft compatible with your rear end on your SUV ?

I don't get it, is the rear end and transmission stock ford items? Unless your using custom aftermarket transmission and rear differential, their should be a stock driveshaft out there that fits. Measure from where u joint bolts up to differential, up to back of trans rear main seal, add about 3 inches that yoke goes through seal, and thats the one you need. Take your Old one with you to a wrecking yard in your area. You should find one that will work. If you want to get a new one, and don't mind spending, you can call one if the truck parts suppliers, tell the guy what you have and length you need, they should be able to hook you up.
