I'm trying to figure out if my new used EPAS is really DOA or if it's something else. My original one was destroyed and I finally got around to installing one from a 2017 Expy that I picked up in August from a local salvage yard. I saved the original abt file for the SCCM and VDM for my Ex using Forscan. After I installed the used epas unit, I uploaded and saved the as built file, but it said nothing was changed. I forced the update like it requested. That could be because it came from the identical vehicle I suspect. I started the Ex and no power steering. I ran the tests on Forscan and it said no errors with the system, but I do still have a couple of DTCs.
It's possible the harness took a hit too, so I'm going to replace it with the one that came with the new rack. In the mean time, any thoughts? Thanks.

RCM: All the "full from accident" codes. Still need to have it reset for the new belts and bags.

SCCM - No dtcs

VDM:
U0126 - Lost Communication with Steering Angle Sensor Module (dtc present at time of request)

IPC:
U0131 - Lost Communication with Power Steering Control Module A (dtc present at time of request)

ABS:
B1596 - Service Continuous Memory dtcs (Not present at Time of Request)

ABS:
U0131-E0 - Lost Communication with Power Steering Control Module (dtc present at time of request)

Good news on this one thankfully. It turns out there's more than one fuse. I traced the wiring diagrams yesterday before I dove back into diagnosing the problem. One 5 amp fuse was blown. Changed it out and all is right with the world. Now, all my DTCs are gone except for the ones that have to do with the RCM that I need to have cleared. Once I do that and reinstall my front bumper, she'll finally be road worthy. I still need to change out the front differential, but that's not hurting anything at the moment. I'll change that out in a couple of weeks.
