newbie needs help

i wasn't sure where to post this, but since i'm kinda new here, i thought i would just throw it up here.

i think i'm having trouble with my pm's.

everytime i send one out, it looks like it goes through, but nothing goes to my "sent" box. how can i make sure they are actually going through?
i know, i know....probably a dumb question....
