No Brake Lights

Good Day,

2009 Ford Expedition
Symptoms - shifter is stuck in park, after a month of forcing the shifter, the brake lights stopped working.

I replaced brake light switch and checked fuses. I checked fuses #5 of the interior fuse box and #43 in the fuse box u nder the hood. Any other fuses I should be checking? Or any other ideas why I don't have brKe lights? I installed a new set of LED rear lights a few months ago that replaced the same set before so don't think it is related.

Do you have access to a multimeter? I would check to see if you're getting 12 volts at the brake lights. Do they flash when your hazards are on? Did you buy an OEM brake switch? Maybe the new switch is bad out of the box. Here's a diagram for your model.

It’s the blue switch under the dash that the break pedal presses.
