No start, no check engine light

98 expedition EB, 5.4l, 4x4..... was driving home and it just shut off, will not start and the check engine light does not come on when key is turned on, checked fuses and relays, don't know what to do next.

An engine needs 3 things in order to operate - air, fuel and spark. Remove any one of these and it quits. The only way to remove the "air" would be a totally plugged intake system. Not going to happen while driving normally. That leaves the fuel and spark.

I always tell people to check the fuel pressure first since it is easy. If you don't have the gauge or know how to do it, let us know.

I have not checked the pressure but I am not getting power to the fuel pump or any spark, I have seen other things that said the pcm, would just like to know what else it could be before I spend a few hundred on a new computer.
