No start

2015 expedition with approximately 75k miles.
Drove last weekend with no problems.
First thing this morning wife ran the key fob thru the washer. Dried it externally and hung it up on letting.
About an hour later car alarm went off. Car was NOT locked.
Key fob wouldn’t stop it. Had to get in car and cycle key in ignition.
Happened again 2 hours later. Same routine.
Battery 1 yr old and shows fully charged.
Dash says “starting system problem”.
I know a lot is going on here but any ideas.

Take the battery out of that key FOB and use another FOB. It's probably burned the circuit board when it got wet. It's sending a "panic" signal to the Expy. Get a new one off eBay or Amazon and program it to the Expy.
