Hello, with my ongoing Vista Roof problem, I used another one of my posts to show the forum the squeaky noise that comes from the rear of the car. Now I have uploades a short in youtube in which the car isnbeing driven in a quite even surfaced parking lot in les than 10 mph, both in reverse and forward and the squeak shows its mighty powers. When the dealer had my car in january, they suggested that it might go away when they changed the locking part of the door which has been recalled, that is why I have taken videos of the noise inside the cabin, door closed and door open, and with the door open (no lock engaged) the noise is even more perceivable. I know in the forum I've been told basically "it's a Ford, just think all the noises are music and dance to it" but this one is particularly anoying and I think the dealer is clueless. If they were clueless with the Vista Roof amd there are even Service Bulletins, this is going to be tough. Here is a link to the video

I used to inspect new Toyotas at the end of the shipping line. The only defect I found on my expy was the right rear door was a good eighth inch from being fully shut. Dealer managed to fix that first try.

I've got the same noise that comes from the rear when my truck is dry. That happend after a dealership visit. I don't know where it is yet, but my truck does only have that squeakyness when it is dry. On a rainy day that noise is gone. I wonder if this is the same case on yours?

Check the spare tire. My guess is the crank that holds it up is loose, and as you're driving the spare is swinging/vibrating/rubbing under the chassis.

You could try dropping the spare out entirely and see if the noise goes away.

That was my first suspicion. I need some time and the weather cooperating at the time. Getting both is scares around here at this time of the year.

I had a similar squeek with my 2007 lincoln navigator. The spare linkage was loose by just a little and made a similar squeeks when driving.

Update here!!! The noise came from some sort of hard polystyrene support/base that is between the rear bumper and the frame, somehow it became loose. The car was back at the dealership so that they could readjust the parts that were misplaced during the Vista Roof repair, and they took the time to search for the source of the new squeeky noise, and found it!!!, so, now I am back to be the owner of the car of my dreams!!! The Expy is riding like new (for the first time in 30,000 miles), I am really happy and also thankful, the people at the dealership were always courteous, specially the lady that had to deal with my grumpyness all this time. So, Vista Roof, you can tame the rattle with three 4" segments of 1-1/2" foam tape placed in each side and the middle of the center beam that separates both glass panels, the rattle is produced by Ford's foam being too flimsy, it tilts forward and memory on the material they used makes it remain that way and cease to perform it's duty of stabilizing the front glass roof panel. The other noise, caused by something coming loose under the rear bumper, if you're a DYIer, probably know how to remove the bumper and solve this issue. Thanks forum for walking this walk with me.
