That is what mine does, but since it stays unlocked it is only the has the noise, not the lock cycle. First time it caught me by surprise, especially since I was working on the other car. It was a what did I just do moment. I know the WiFi connection and the auto updates are off so it is not related to any updates and my phone is the only one with the app which is/was on the work bench. It may be related to one of the key fobs being nearby. I don't really worry about it anymore.

Not saying this is related to the expy, but some cars have an emissions cycle that can be heard long after they are shut off. Like hours later.
