What's up guys new to the Expedition forum,so bear with me. Just got our non max back from the mechanic having the SPD adapters and catted downpipes added. With a new revised five star daily driver tune can't say I noticed anything much performance difference then the original daily tune but I'm sure it's in there somewhere also a little disappointed that I didn't get as much turbo wine as I was hearing from F-150s and YouTube videos not sure what I'm missing but sounds pretty close to stock like fatgroundhog mentioned. Are there any turbo baffles or anything I should remove or leave alone? the next project I'm looking at is intercooler and bov mechanic tells me it will only help with Towing but In my Theory I'm hoping it would help cool down engine temp?less stress in Georgia summers?awaiting to see what DP and adapters does for my fuel economy does anyone else have any ideas that why my miles per gallon went down about 3 MPG after the tune was added I'm usually around 17 miles per gallon as of now does that sound normal to you guys and add up with you're noticing? Sorry I know it's a lot just have a lot of questions if these mods are really worth it and getting my bang for the buck and hopefully less chance of issues in the future thanks again!!

1) you mentioned lack of turbo noise... Do you have a CAI? That made the biggest noise difference to me for the spooling noise.

2) an intercooler is the first upgrade I did. Living in the Texas heat I thought it was a must.

3) with my mods I get 14mpg in town and 21 on freeway. I DO NOT have the catted downpipes though.

The intercooler will keep you from losing as much power when it's hot or running under high loads for extended periods. The stock intercooler lets the intake temps increase substantially. I regularly saw 40 degrees over ambient during heavy acceleration.

the SPD downpipes won't change any noise except what's out the back. I love mine, but I also did the turbo adapters at the same time, which I'm guessing helped just as much as the high flow cats. I had a ton of turbo wine before with my first CAI but it was an open filter and I didn't like it much. I recently replaced it with a closed filter design for Corsa and I can still hear the turbos but it is more muted. I personally love the sound but i've also done the intercooler and blow off valve.

Mines finally in today getting the seatbelt recall done, at which point i'll put my tune back on, I haven't had my vehicle or my vehicle with a tune on it for about 2 months now, miss it!
