Normal Mode Skipping 2,4

It's almost impossible to get my transmission to find 2 and 4 while in normal or eco mode. In sport it hits them just fine. I tried accelerating very slowly, very quickly, a medium amount and in some very rare instances it will hit 4. 2 is always almost a no go. I realize with so many gears skipping some may make sense but this seems to contribute to pretty rough shifting in the lower gears. Do others experience this?

2nd isn't needed in most cases, so why waste the time and fuel in a low gear for 1 second and then slide back to 3rd anyway. Its just extra wear and tear on the trans making all those extra unnecessary shifts. Mine skips gears all the time. Its got the grunt to do it unlike GM's V8's with no low end torque.

If the transmission was smooth at low speeds in those gears it wouldn't be as annoying.

Once it learns your driving habits its smooths out but once you change the way you normally drive for a quick second, youll feel it.

My 10 speed is by far the smoothest transmission of any car I've owned.

it's completely normal. Towing a heavy load will see all 10. When I run in Sport it skips around sometimes as well. Tool me a while to get used to this 10 speed.
