I recently swapped trans in 99 eb.... bout a week and a half ago and have put about 600 miles on it.... It seems to hesitate and feels like it is stumbling when holding speed..... The tach doesnt seem to deviate and no check engine codes.... I just ordered cops for it so they will be changed along with the plugs..... Just wanted to know if the cops could be causing that.... The trans fluid is filled to proper level... So shouldnt be trans.... Any advise would be appreciated......

Also it seems to do it more when im accelerating via the pedal gradually..... If i step on it it doesnt do it... Also seems to not do it as bad when on cruise control.....

sounds like a COP going bad... if it isn't a "hard fault" the CEL won't come on... mine did this for 2 weeks before the CEL came on and had a misfire... truck would jerk and didn't like it when the torq convertor would lock in... once I got the COPs fixed she hasn't had a issue since

thanks guys... i bought a feul filter and my ordered cops came in today so now gotta get some ngk plugs and ile be good to go........ hopefully....lol.....

also walnuts what kelvin are ur hids? i just installed my new led black housing halo projectors with 10000k(w/ hyper blue halogens for highs) and black halo projector fogs with 10000k hids... just wondering how u liked them? I love mine but will like them more when i adjust them properly... also does ne one sell a tool to adjust them or do u know if its a 4mm post to adjust headlights.... they are the same as stock adjustments.... thanks in advance....

they are a nice deep blue.. i think they call them ocean blue.... i tell u what i thot having projectors with halogens were the best thing since sliced bread till i bought these projectors with hids...... they look awesome, no one else around here has them( headlights and/or fogs with the hid kits), and i can see everything alot better..... i wanna exsperement( cant spell this morning) with other k bulbs to see what is best.... but the truck looks nasty with the halos(1 on each fog and 2 in each headlight plus 5leds each) with the blue bulbs and my blue led underglow with led tube behind my grill, all on at the same time....( will post pics today or tomaro)


while i got ur attention..... wtf is a gotts mod? just wondering, see it alot on here and no one seems to explain it.....

ok found the thread on th e gotts mod..... has it improved ur mileage or just throttle response? just wondering what it does specifically as far as proformance on the truck.... proly worth doing either way just like to kno the end means.....

The Gotts Mod hasn't affected my miles per gallon at all.The air is the same temp coming into the engine, but it did remove a restriction of air flow before the air box. I noticed a better throttle response for things like passing on the highway. I also noticed you can hear the intake sucking air much louder and deeper, sounds pretty cool.


The F-150 guys have dynoed this and claim 7 or 8 HP on the same engine as ours.

i went ahead and did it today ne ways.... so i guess i will see... as long as my mileage doesnt decrease i will be happy... figured i was already gonna have the battery disconected for my double din with nav and wiring my switches for underglow and 6 halos....

I got 10,000K HIDs in both headlights and fogs... had them for over a year now and love them... especially in the snow... look at my pic in my sig for how 10,000Ks look
