Hey everyone,

I got my Expedition about a year ago, but decided that its time to post and start the modding process.

I am in the Portland, Oregon area and would love to get together with other like minded Expedition owners in the area.

Thanks everyone,

So far, I have done cat back short exhaust exiting the side instead of the rear with a Flow Master 2 chamber. I have been debating on lowing with springs and a decent kit or a small lift with a little bigger tire. I like both styles ( I had a lifted bronco and also have had a fair share of lowered trucks. )
I have done a make shift intake until I run some pipe and redirect the intake to a lower level for colder air.

I have been reading about the tablet being used as a head unit and would love to make that a project soon also.

The only thing I worry about dropping it 3 inches with the kit, is that i fear it will kill the 4x4 aspect and I like not being stuck..

I don't plan anything major with. Maybe a trip to hood, gavel areas in the woods, but nothing like major off-roading. Is your truck lowered?

A trip to Hood? With a lowered vehicle? There's a nice Forest Rangers Station on the way right on the main road you can stop at, they have nice pamphlets and maps you can look at :D

I mean to abuse those roads again soon except this time I'm not planning in being stopped by the snow line. All that area from south of Timothy Lake toward Hood, and from 224 > 26. I'll wave as I drive by.

only when parked as the air suspension does its thing...lol...supposedly the ability to put drop springs on conversion kits is an option...if so...it will be drop'd...

Im wondering how much lift is possible

ok so im thinking 6' inch full kit with a 3" body and then heres where im confused can i do a coil rear conversion with the levling kits and get approx 11"s of lift and then do big tires? and if i do that will i have to run a 4.10 regear in my axle or is the stock one ok its like the 3.337 or what ever came in the 4x4 towing package for the 99 expy... and do i need a new tranny too? and how about making a skid plate from bumper to bottem of IFS like a wrap to the back? theses are all my thoughts in to one long child like post.
any advice is much appricated! thanks
