Just a spec ops airborne infantryman. No cool title like you other military guys :(

Hoping to get into PsyOps within the next year though (or after I get back from my deployment which might come before I get a chance to transfer over..), then I'll be able to sound all cool, haha. They already told me I'm prequalified, just waiting on my next promotion so my rank is high enough to get in =/

YOU GUYS ROCK! This may bore you all.
Retired U.S.P.S. - 12/27/1987 to 11/24/2006, Motor Vehicle Operator - Streight & Tractor Trailer. I had the bad luck of getting hurt on the job twice. Once breaking my toe getting out the truck and landing into a crater (Pothole), and second, tearing three discs unloading fivehundred pound postcons (Mailcages). I didn't want to wait for the mailhandlers to unload the trailer. I ended up with five spinal surgeries. Three outpatient, two inpatient. Now, i have rods, pins & screws in my L-1 to S-1. Therefore, OPM approved my disability retirement. Yes, i am screwed! Literally. But happily retired.

Spent my first 18 years following Dad around the world when he was in the Air Force, as he did for 18 years with his Father (Navy) and my mothers Father (Navy)...I was the first to go to college..LOL. Grad of UMass and been traveling around the world as a salesman...LOL. Got sick of China and 13 hour flights so eventually took a job and currently working for Sika Corporation - Construction Sales of Solar, Vegetative and Single-Ply Roofing.

and you've been all over the states like you have and you're a PFC? how long you been in?

lol no, almost all of those states I went on my own. I like to go to new places and take pictures of random stuff, it's my "thing". I've only been in the Army for around 7 months now I think.

I own a marina in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Been doing this for the better part of 20 years now. Grew up in the business. Do a lot of Volvo diesel work, Volvo gas work, Mercruiser work, too. Rebuild and restore classic antique wooden boats. Paint, fiberglass, woodwork, electrical work, plumbing work...you get the point.

I am a research and development engineer for the largest optical company in the world.

I specialize in polymer/plastics development of optical lenses for military/special forces/fire/police ect.

I love that I am able to use my nerdy science to help out troops all over the world protect their eyes from IEDs and the like.

I grew up in Michigan, went to Ferris State, and moved to California when I was 25 but I miss Michigan quite a bit

U.P.-my grandfather had a 33' chris craft that i spent almost all of my childhood on. he had it in a marina in alberta,MI on lake michigan. spent more time on that boat than i did at my own house!!!! i love the great lakes.
