Ole Reliable hunting/fishing wagon having an issue. 1997 4x4 w tow pkg. 204,000 mi. Has remote oil filter mounted behind bumper near lower radiator hose.

All of a sudden pumping emulsion from area of lower radiator hose. Pulled radiator, plugged lower connector and over flow, filled and applied air pressure to about 10 lbs. No leaks.

Conversations w others came up w info a Ford V10 had an oil filter bracket gasket causing similar. Anyone have info on such? How does oil get into coolant at this point?

Welcome to the site. If it doesn't have an oil cooler that is connected to the cooling system the usual culprit is a head gasket.

There is a way to check but it isn't easy on these since the oil pan needs to be dropped and the cooling system pressurized.
