I have a 1999 Expedition XLT V8 Triton 5.4L. Earlier this week I had to take it in to a muffler shop. I understand that my vehicle has 4 catalytic converters. They removed two catalytic converters on the drivers side. Told me they could just put one in and it would still be fine to drive. Two would cost too much. The day after this repair, my Overdrive light flashes anytime the truck is running. I noticed driving home doing about 55-60 it stays between 4-5 RPMs. In town, anytime I come to a stop, it hesitates and doesn't want to take off when I press the gas. Turning in to work this morning - I had the pedal to the floor and it barely moved.
What I want to know - is this problem related to the fix on the catalytic converter. I'm going back to the shop this afternoon to have a talk with them - and would like some advice. Thanks.
